SHEESH

I'm a slacker.

Sorry guys, I sure am trying to get some stuff on here. I do have a few small things that I need to finish and then I will post them.

Hope shines

hurt me once...hurt me twice...

Yesterday I got a wild hair up my bum and started looking at local shelters to find another four legged companion (although I still grieve deeply for the one I lost). I found the most beautiful dog on petfinder at a local shelter...something about her eyes...something that reminded me so much of my allie I just lost... There was an URGENT!!! next to her name, indicating that she was to be put to sleep soon...

Later that day I wanted to show my mother the picture (perhaps a potential christmas gift?) and it was no longer located on the site...so I email the shelter..today I get a reply..

First line reads:

I'm sorry to say that she's been put to sleep...

The hurt floods back...

aqueous communication

As my streak of luck continues...I go to check a message on my phone yesterday between adjusting the underwater bubblers in my koi pond (in this below freezing weather), as I shift my pocket to grab my phone I hear *PLOP!* and Behold!!! My phone is bobbing around in the pond... I go to grab it with my half frozen hands and drop it again!

Now I'm stuck with a non-functional form of aqueous communication...and the desperate need to dry it out...all of my phone numbers are stored on it.

Any advice on how to dry the darned thing out?
